Background

I help educators and institutions integrate AI-driven innovation into teaching and learning without sacrificing rigor, drawing on over fifteen years of experience in online course design across history, communications, and game studies.

My work has been recognized with the Arizona State University/OpenAI Innovation Challenge (2024), where I developed projects to scale feedback, quizzes, and assignment design in high-enrollment courses. Earlier, I was a fellow at the first NEH Humanities Gaming Institute, which shaped my long-term interest in using games and play to enhance learning and cultural memory.

In 2025, my first play, Why My Office Almost Went Remote, was produced in Budapest. I’ve also authored Advertising in the Age of Persuasion (Palgrave) and the widely cited game studies article “Gaming History”. My current projects bridge AI, ludology, and digital pedagogy. I also continue my historical research. As a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and a descendant of leaders including Basil LeFlore, I ground my work in a commitment to ethical and inclusive approaches to technology in education.
